All the pieces in this series were inspired by the trash the lies upon the streets of New York. While it might not sound glamorous, what says more about the human condition then the refuse that we bestow upon our environment? I call this series "Trash on Trash" because all of the pieces were done on Styrofoam which I found, recycled, gessoed and worked on in an attempt to raise both image and medium to the level of "art". The irony is that not only have I seen trash in a new light but I have also found Styrofoam to be a versatile medium in its own right.
