ALTERED STATES
This series consists of works where the foundation (canvas) is torn and the "negative space" becomes part of the piece. In some work the various parts of the composition are tied together (literally) by twine, string or wire. When wood is used as a foundation, it is busted and/or marred to crete physical surface tension Sometimes a lighting device is employed in the shallow interior space of wood panels.
